Hi! My name is Marcie Pietrofere (peter-fur) and I will be your 2nd grade teacher this year! I grew up near Virginia Beach, VA and went to college at a small school in Eastern North Carolina named Barton College. I started teaching in 2003. I have taught 1st, 2nd, and 5th grades as well as EIP reading and math. Second grade is my FAVORITE because I get to see my students make a ton of growth! I live here in Perry. with my husband Tim who is a band director at Huntington Middle and my two daughters, Ava Grace who is in high school Alyssa who is in middle school.  I am also a foster parent, and sometimes have “bonus kids” live with us. I have two dogs, Rocky and Lucy who are labradoodles.
