Hello students and parents of LRPS! My name is Carla Moon and I serve as the K-2 Interrelated Teacher at Langston Road Primary School. I am beginning my 21st year of teaching. I have been teaching in the Houston County School System since July of 2005. My greatest joy as a teacher is being able to positively impact the lives of children and build their confidence each and every day. I have the honor and privilege of working with students in the areas of reading, writing, and math.
Education
I obtained my Bachelor's Degree of Special Education from Georgia Southwestern State University. Prior to teaching at Langston Road Primary School I taught K-5 Interrelated at Langston Road Elementary School from August 2021 - July 2023 and K-5 Interrelated at Centerville Elementary School from July 2005 - July 2021. I also taught Interrelated for three years in the Crisp County School System.
Family
I am married to Larry Moon and we have two children. My oldest daughter, Ashley Kay, is a Sophomore at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College and my youngest daughter, Kaylie, attends Perry High School.
