Hello parents and students of LRPS! My name is Carla Moon and I serve as the K-2 Interrelated Teacher at Langston Road Primary School. I am beginning my 23rd year of teaching. I have been teaching in the Houston County School System since July of 2005. My greatest joy as a teacher is being able to positively impact the lives of children and build their confidence each and every day. I have the honor and privilege of working with students in the areas of reading, writing, and math.
Education
I obtained my Bachelor's Degree of Special Education from Georgia Southwestern State University. Prior to teaching at Langston Road Primary School I taught K-5 Interrelated at Langston Road Elementary School from August 2021 - July 2023 and K-5 Interrelated at Centerville Elementary School from July 2005 - July 2021. I also taught Interrelated for three years in the Crisp County School System.
Family
I am married to Larry Moon, Jr. and we have two children. My oldest daughter, Ashley Kay, attends Georgia Southwestern State University and is currently completing her Student Teaching. My youngest daughter, Kaylie, attends Perry High School.
